\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn the 16th-century Palazzo dei Conti Cozza Caposavi in Bolsena, Lazio, you will find VesConte, the only Italian establishment that Forbes included in its 2019 list of the world’s 19 best new hotels. Since Bolsena is a must-visit for every traveler heading to or returning from Rome, this palace has always been a significant religious, administrative, archaeological, and tourist landmark in Central Italy. Over time, the palace has been visited by Stendhal, Marconi, Fellini, members of royal and European families, and two Popes.\r\n\r\nThe Palazzo Cozza Caposavi, declared a national monument and part of the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane (Association of Italian Historic Houses), was commissioned by Cardinal Tiberio Crispo in 1561 as his personal residence, although he only lived there for a year. In fact, the people of Bolsena, irritated by his arrogance, had the cardinal removed from his position as the Governor of the Patrimony of St. Peter.
