Located a little less than 40 km from Acquapendente, and even less from the Tuscan border and the sea, is the small town of Canino.
Crossed by the Via Clodia, it is renowned for the production of high-quality DOP extra virgin olive oil and its proximity to the important archaeological park of Vulci. In fact, its name is believed to derive from one of the most significant families of the ancient Etruscan city, the gens Caninia.
The town’s extensive Public Library, situated at Via Udine 3, was inaugurated on March 31st in the premises of the former elementary school, which was closed in the 1980s. It offers the following services:
